It’s all set to music and lights, it’s high energy, and there are no lulls. In the main theater you’ll find the major production shows, which most recently was a production of CATS. When you step aboard Oasis of the Seas, we think the first impression you’ll get is “big.” Having sailed on plenty of large Royal Caribbean ships in the past, Oasis still stands out as having a massive size.

Oasis of the Seas
Explore the “Small Wonders” Around the ShipAs you walk around Oasis of the Seas, you’ll see little viewing stations here and there. Some look like a large spyglass and others look like binoculars on a stand. We won’t ruin the surprise for you about what’s inside, but it’s definitely worth checking out. Kids especially will love trying to find them all over the ship. The Solarium Is a Can’t MissGiven its location at the front of the ship, the Solarium isn’t hard to find. Since it’s at the front, you don’t have to go by it to get anywhere else.
Free Dining
In size, there’s a big difference on Freedom class ships, as they’re only about 60% of the size of the Oasis class ships. In the fleet are also the popular Quantum class vessels, that offer many innovations such as the robotic bartenders, North Star and a skydiving simulator. And just like there are differences between the individual cruise ships within the Oasis class, there are also big differences between other Royal Caribbean cruise ship classes too. However, the cruise line proved the naysayers wrong and delivered what has become one of the most popular cruise ship classes ever and the first over 200,000 gross tons.

At the very end of the Boardwalk area is the Aqua Theater, which is flanked on either side by two rock walls. Public areas throughout the ship, including the Royal Promenade, are wide and spacious — almost cavernous. While other ships in the fleet have a similar promenade setup, the size and space provided on Oasis is like nothing else.
Shipboard entertainment options - Fun and Sport
Allure and Oasis of the Seas have art displays known as “Small Wonders” throughout the ship. These are periscopes or telescopes where you’ll find tiny, 3D pieces of art when you look inside. They are located around the ship, so exploring Allure or Oasis of the Seas to find them can be a fun activity to do onboard. In place of Jazz on 4, Wonder of the Seas has The Golden Room, an extra casino space. As Wonder of the Seas was designed for the Chinese Market, extra casino spaces were incorporated into the ship.
Current itinerary of Oasis Of The Seas
Early in the morning it’s extremely calm and quiet in this part of the ship, making it a wonderful place to eat a relaxing breakfast. In fact, the only real complaint we had during our cruise is that we felt there weren’t enough included spots to eat. There seems to be a trend to include the dining room and buffet, but other spots that serve actual meals — rather than snacks — are an extra charge or only open for lunch. Inside you’ll also find the Main Promenade, featuring a bars and shops.
There’s also Spotlight Karaoke and Boleros whether you want to sing… or just listen to the professionals do it. The Boardwalk at the back of the ship has the feel of a carnival, complete with a carousel and two 10-story slides winding down from the top deck. Central Park — complete with thousands of plants — is a quiet spot to relax among greenery and muted colors amid the otherwise active ship. However, the larger differences start to arrive when you look at Harmony of the Seas. Of course, it is worth noting that not all Oasis class vessels are the same. While all are great, the newest are going to be the biggest, best and freshest, with the newest and latest and greatest amenities.
Activities and things to do
Oasis-class currently represents the world's biggest passenger ship design, however, Oasis OTS happened to be the smallest in this series - although with just 50 mm (~2 inches) shorter than Allure. There was a competition for proposing the best name for the hulls of both vessels. Following drydock 2019, Oasis OTS now has an enlarged (sized ~7000 ft2 / ~650 m2) and enhanced (fully refurbished and upgraded) retail complex with a total of 8 shopping areas (on 3 decks). At the upgraded retail zones are sold premium-brand watches and jewellery (including a separate John Hardy Boutique), fashion clothing, beauty products, perfumes, cosmetics, RCI brand merchandise. Among the represented retail brands are Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, John Hardy, Debbie Katz, Tagua, Marcela Cofre, Hennessy, Hublot, Breitling+Longines, TAG Heuer. Central Park is an outdoor relaxation zone (within the ship's interior) with 20000+ live plants.
The adults-only Solarium complex was refreshed and new whirlpools were added. Aft on Deck 16 (entrance point) was installed the 10-story high waterslide "Ultimate Abyss" (introduced on Harmony OTS) plus "The Perfect Storm" (3 waterslides entrance). The ship is one of the largest ships in the world, with plenty of space to offer things to do onboard for guests of all ages. Water slides, specialty dining, an escape room, pools, ice skating, a Broadway show and more await you on this ship. Like other ships, Oasis of the Seas has both complimentary dining venues and specialty restaurants.
While there’s no need to spend extra to dine at specialty restaurants, many guests prefer the ambiance and cuisine offered at these venues. However, there are more than enough complimentary options to keep you satisfied throughout any Oasis of the Seas cruise. Oasis class cruise ships offer an impressive number of dining venues — over 20 restaurants in many cases.
Harmony of the Seas was the first Royal Caribbean ship to be designed with waterslides in the initial ship build, as well as add new features to Oasis Class ships such as the Ultimate Abyss. Many of the design innovations made on Harmony of the Seas have served as a model for future Oasis Class ships and amplifications. Allure of the Seas is one of two Oasis Class ships with Sabor, a Mexican specialty restaurant and tequila bar, which is located in the Boardwalk neighborhood. Because Oasis Class ships are split in the middle, there are two separate sides of the pool deck, and guests can look from the pool deck down into Central Park below. Select Oasis Class ships also offer Battle for Planet Z, a laser tag arena, onboard.
